2012: A Return to South Africa
Our next trip to South Africa will be in August 2012. Our trip is open to volunteers of any kind. In particular, we're looking for:
* Medical professionals.
* Teachers.
* Athletic coaches of any sport.
* Anyone with experience with wells or water quality.
* Hard workers willing to do some good they'll remember for a lifetime.
We estimate the cost to be about $3,000 a person.
Obviously, our specific itenerary is still in the works, but we will have two versions of the trip. The shorter trip will be about 10 days and based out of Cape Town. We'll see sights and spend several days doing volunteer work. The longer trip will last about two weeks for people who want to stay in South Africa a little longer. It will likely include an in-country flight to Johannesburg and a safari.
Here are imporant dates you should know:
Feb. 1 - verbal commitment to go on the trip.
March 30 - a $300 deposit to the Vilakazi Foundation to pay for transportation and lodging.
Aug. 6-10 - in-country work in Knysna.
